NOVEMBER 13, 2:00 PM ET
Overall, lab enforcement trends over the past year have followed similar patterns to previous ones, with key compliance issues including lack of medical necessity and improper business relationships. Genetic and COVID-19 testing also continue to face increased scrutiny from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. However, a newer trend has been authorities’ willingness to reward labs that cooperate in government investigations. What lessons can labs take away from these trends?
This presentation will provide:
- An overview of recent lab enforcement trends, including False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute-related cases
- An examination of the key compliance issues leading to enforcement actions
- Tips to help labs avoid similar compliance issues in their own organizations
