Session: Wednesday, June 14, 12:30 PM — 1:30 PM EDT
This program is intended for laboratory owners currently considering a transaction or those that simply want to better understand what goes into a sale, how the deal process progresses, and the types of challenges that come up during a transaction. This panel will help laboratory owners make decisions now to be better positioned in the future for a potential sale.
The panel will provide attendees with:
- An overview of considerations relating to going to market and preparing for same, as well as how to maximize value
- Insight into the timeline and the elements of a deal
- A discussion on what makes deals easier and improves a timeline versus what can make a transaction more challenging and slow a timeline
- Perspective on changes in representations and warranties and other regulatory deal points that impact a transaction (ex: Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute, Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act, data privacy, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act reps and coverage; buyer billing audits and scrutiny, etc.)
